The 6th International Seminar on Ferroelastics Physics (ISFP-6) will be held on September, 2008 at the Voronezh State Technical University, Russia. This Seminar is designed to bring together the international community of scientists interested in recent developments in all branches of ferroelastics investigations. The scope of the Seminar will be similar to that of the preceding seminars ISFP-4(9) and ISFP-5(10) in Voronezh and will cover all aspects of processing, structure, properties and applications of ferroelastic crystals. Language: English and Russian will be the official languages of the Seminar

GENERAL SCOPE

The seminar is the 6th International and the 10th Seminar in a series of triennial meetings. The first Seminar was held in Bologoe (Russia) 1978, it was followed by seminars in Voronezh (Russia) 1982, Kharkov (Ukraine) 1985, Dniepropetrovsk (Ukraine) 1988, Uzhgorod (Ukraine) 1991, Voronezh (Russia) 1994, Kazan (Tatarstan) 1997 and Voronezh (Russia) 2000, 2003 and 2005.

The scope of the Seminar will be similar to those of the precedent Seminars. The main goal is to bring together scientists, engineers and students active in the field of ferroelastics physics and related topics to present and discuss their recent and advanced develop-ments, covering the full range of physical phenomena and applications
